I did find that when i was trying to use the stand in a selfie stick mode with my phone in a 34portrait orientation34 rather than 34landscape34 that i could not adjust the camera to face me well

The push button to open the tripod works great except that when i am pressing to close the stand when using as just a selfie stick tripod closed i press down to push the extension rod back in and accidentally open the tripod

The tripod is easy to close but i have accidentally opened the tripod numerous times trying to retract the rod back in
