The movement of the turtle's legs and head is very slight. The pegs on this toy can easily be pushed down with a child’s finger, thus making the use of the hammer unnecessary.

He didnt want to use hammer except on everything else in the house

He figured that he could push pegs down with his hands he then decided to keep pushing several down at once and eventually broke the strings so headlegs and tail no longer worked

I think if you have a very strong and hyper child you shouldnt get this

For now he is using his hands to push down the pieces because he was teething on the hammer hes still a bit young for it but well just save the hammer for a few more months
