Pros

The sound is very good, if not a little uninteresting. The sense of sound placement is immersive. It measures superbly and sounds superb.

Physical volume/power/ input knob. The knob is great to have on the days i lose my remote (everyday) on the output side of the house, the unit has the front headphone jack and a r/l rca line out on the rear.

Admittedly, i use bluetooth most of the time anyway for my music, so having ldac is just the cherry on top. The power ration changes a little bit when using bluetooth less power is left over but still plenty enough even for the ost demanding users. Th... Read More

This device is audibly transparent with plenty of power for most headphones. Bigger, brighter, easier to read display. Both units have a choice of brightness from 1-3.

Quality

I am using the dx3 pro + with hifiman ananda and i am super happy with the results.

Most important feature: the sound quality is there.

With the price difference of only $50, i can’t see any reason for new buyers to get the e30 over the dx3 pro+.

Not so with the dx3 pro+, which displays whole numbers only for the majority of the volume range.

Price

It does support very high pcm and dsd bitrates, which for the price is phenomenal.

Packaging/appearance

The packaging is clean and minimal, there is enough foam to protect the product during shipping from china to the usa.

Competitiveness

Excellent sound, especially using the available option of ldac via bluetooth.

Most ldac capable bluetooth separates start at $80, so it's already great to have it part of the device!

The power supply is very short, and since it's a 15v power supply, it's a somewhat odd voltage to replace.
