Pros

There is a stabilizing bar near the front of the desk. If you install a keyboard tray, you have to make sure the tray can clear all this. The only downside is the frame design. Overall, the pros outweigh the cons.

Desk is perfect for work and gaming. Holds 2 26” monitors, laptop, docking station. Metal bars come down at least an inch and are thick enough that mounting anything to the desktop (like a microphone arm) can be tricky.

Book shelf is amazing to de clutter the top. Plenty of workspace and the lower shelf makes up for the lack of drawers. It’s also very spacious.

To me a board and solid implies that the top would be a solid piece of wood with no cavities.

Cons

New desk comes in 8 pieces each and must be * together by the buyer, which is fine but it looks terrible and is obviously less sturdy. It looks beautiful but bookshelf broke after 4 months of use and this is when i am not even using it as bookshelf so... Read More

They say there is no fiberglass used in the making of the desk. Numerous scratches, scuffs, dents. Whatever these are, they look just like fiberglass particles.

There is no way i am hauling it anywhere. Qc on this was terrible. Will be contacting amazon to correct this. I want a full refund asap.

Very easy to assemble and quite sturdy.

Very sturdy and have held up over a year of use.

First, unless you're in dire straits for tools, toss the included screwdriver and use your own quality #2 phillips instead.

It also makes it impossible to put the file cabinet under the desk, to save room.

Price

I highly recommend for the price and color (oak), and design.
