Pros

This monitor works perfectly for a desktop monitor. I use it both to extend the desktop of my dell win7 laptop and to mirror the vga output to a projector. All you need to do is plug it in to your pc via the included usb plug.

Toshiba monitor has all the features i wanted and needed. I don't need to use the spare adaptor, just the usb from my laptop is enough.

Works great indoors or sitting at a starbuck. It is portable, lightweight and definitely increases my efficiency at work. Overall it's a great productivity product.

Flat monitor is genius, a bit bigger than my laptop but no thicker. I fit both of them in my daypack.

It has a central velcro pocket for holding the usb cord. The elegant attached leatherette case protects it fully, front and back, unlike the one-sided case on the lenova.

Cons

The brightness * are one push * yielding only two levels of brightness. Also the colors are washed out. I try to maximize an app on the second screen and it flips to the laptop screen.

Installation was simple and straightforward (with the displaylink driver) and setup has never been anything but plug-and-go.

The resolution is excellent, and the price is a huge value!

Competitiveness

I've used it with hp elitebook, dell, lenovo, power notebook (msi).

Biggest issue i found was when you use another usb-display adapter using competitors of displaylink.

And, since it's a mini-usb to dual usb cord, it's not as easy as grabbing one of the many usb cords that we have sitting around.
