Knox security as i didnt plan to store anything private or confidential on it instead i wanted something that i knew would work whether i plugged it into a windows machine or a mac machine or maybe even a linux box or mobile device though i ahvent tried either of these yet

No exfat doesnt have of the security features of ntfs and is mainly designed for flash drives but fat32 doesnt support drives as large as this one and ntfs is a pain in the butt to get working on a mac

And like i said before i needed mass quantities of portable accessible storage not a fortress that wont work on the piece of hardware i happen to have with me at the moment
