The new one works on vista thru 10 while the old one works with xp thru 8

Note amazon has only 3rd party vendors for this drive at present it is a superseded model and there is much confusion over the condition

That prompted a lengthy amazon chat which was inconclusive so i messaged all three vendors

The newer model is about the same cost in the promotional packing but it does not come with a 32gb usb stick instead it comes with a 32gb micro xd card
