Pros

Hard drive seems to be performing exactly as expected. Bought it as a replacement for a bad drive and wanted to try another brand. Very reliable, efficient, and easy to use.

Toshiba time machine works with both mac and pc. Comes with two diff6 style cables to attach to macbook air. Works with both hp and macbook pro.

It's slim, light and portable. The drive is 4tb, but available space is 3. Gb of available space. It works on both usb-c & usb 3. And it works on all versions of usb. With or without a tb or gb connection.

Cons

The warranty process is such a nightmare i’m about ready to give up on getting my money back. This drive is now so slow that it is basically useless now and these countless failed attempts took so long to conclude my backups that i can't even return i... Read More

I had wd drives previously and they all (3 of them) failed.

In reality, it took 5 hours to copy 52 gb data off my old wd drive.

Price

At ~ $25/tb, i'm quite happy with this external hard drive.

Type-c was the buying point for this and coupled with the price, it was lovely.

You won't find anything cheaper than this.

A bit slow, but good for the price at the time.
