I've not been able to test how fast it is yet, since i have it in an enclosure connected to a usb2 port, but it's speedy enough for me.
The 1tb toshiba i had has been so reliable i wanted to use toshiba again but the noise is just too much.
A little loud though after all thst use but was very quiet in the beginning.

I have not used it yet i bought it in case i i decided to put windows 10 onto it i am not sure whether i will use windows 10 i am not a lover of it yet and i do not know what microsoft intend to do in the futurei put this hard drive in my computer on 17062016 and i tried to install microsoft windows 7 64 bit ultimate and the disc would not install the systema message appeared saying that it could not install the windows i checked on the internet and found that the hard drive users gpr and this is a new type of drive if it had been in mbr it have installedi was not informed about this i i do not know how to contact the seller maybe amazon will help mefrank taylor

The only downside is that its louder than any other hard drive ive had which to be fair isnt that many id say its about three or four times as loud as a wd blue for reference

It has been installed in a nas enclosure replacing a failing drive for the past year but is now exhibiting intermittent failures of its own

Fortunately being in a redundant system second drive mirrors this one and working for most of the time these problems are relatively benign and crop up as warnings rather than failures but its not very encouraging for a supposedly new drive to be exhibiting intermittent read or check failures as this one is
