Brown rice is perfectly textured. Rice comes out tasty and fluffy. Rice is fluffy, perfectly cooked, and has the right texture in the low-carb mode.
The induction heating cooks very well. The pot is as heavy as my instant pot stainless steel pots! We use it daily,so it stays on our countertop!
Price is high, but makes excellent soft low carb rice. Also steams dumplings and veggies ery well. Can cook low carb rice with this cooker.
Quality is unmatched in this appliance. This model is bigger than i usually need but i know it will make enough rice when having guests. Small nice appliance.
Cons
The toshiba rice cooker is a disappointment. For faulty design there is not enough space to catch the water after cooking the rice, instead all the water get absorbed. The plastic gasket has bad smell.

There’s no way to measure the caloric loss due to that feature hopefully there is considerable loss.
It counts down in minutes from when you press the start button (zojirushis only showed minutes for last ten minutes).

Yes, it was more money, but you always get what you pay for.
I don't know yet if it was worth the cost but i am going to keep it.

We contacted customer service and they were amazing, they are sending us a replacement.

It doesnt keep the rice warm quite as well as the zojiruishis in that its a tad dryer in the toshiba

Thats not a big concern for us because most of it gets eaten and what doesnt is eaten for lunch the next day but if you want to keep rice warm for a long time this might not be the best one for that

If cooking low carb rice make sure water is filled to the line on the steamer and touching the rice not the lines on the pot

Classy design high quality material user friendly great rice taste but this is not for asian kitchen i have no idea that toshiba japanese company doesnt know that asian rice cooker keep warm function is really important to keep warm as long as customer needed usually asian cooked rice for 23 days meal so everyday you have to redo keep warm other than that your rice cold like a rock when you need
