Price
Great value for money, and i'm looking at buying a second to mirror my backups.
A lot of storage ( i have the 18tb ) for a fairly good price.
This looked like a bargain; its “enterprise” kit, but didnt specifically say nas compatible.

Yes you can hear them spinning and yes you can hear the clunking from them when their actuators are active but theyre definitely not noisy for enterprise drives

Many forget that enterprise drives are built sturdier and heavier than standard drives so they do make a little more noise theyre also built to be used literally 247 if necessary

Plus as hard drive capacity is increasing year on year theres more rotating mass inside of them so masking noise completely is impossible with any spinning platter type drive
