The containers had a slight odor when i got them so i washed them with soap and water then wiped them with a microfiber cloth to dry then immediately filled one with fleur de sel and the other with fine grain pink himalayan salt
After 3 days out on the kitchen table the sun tends to shine in directly on the containers around lunchtime the salts still kept their original properties
