Packaging/appearance
They do take a little longer to freeze than the plastic trays, but the size definitely makes up for it.
They allow me to cook up a large batch of chicken (taking advantage of sale prices), blend it with broth, then pour it into the molds.
Competitiveness
I have several of these tovolo brand ice trays and they are the best!
Little cubes are manageable and the perfect 1oz size so i know how much to defrost at a time.

Bend the tray and push lightly on the bottom no they don’t pop like plastic trays
