Pros

The silicone is sturdy and fixed onto the masher so no food will slip into any crevices. Works great for mashing cooked diced tomatoes into tomato sauce. Also works for breaking up meats for tacos or sausage for sausage gravy.

Heavy duty potato masher feels like a quality tool in the hand. It's not flimsy and is easy to handle. Great quality and sturdy.

Great item, well made. Tovolo consistently makes products that i love. This is an excellent product.

Cons

The head vanes are too close together. The durability of the handle is junk. The dishwasher led to the seal breaking down.

Very sturdy and just like the all metal one i've used for years, i expect it to be just as durable.

This solves that problem and it’s well built, sturdy, and doesn’t feel “cheap”.

This one not only gives a good mash while i am cooking, but it also doesn't scratch up my nonstick cookware.

Very well made, and much stronger than the composite models, yet the metal coated mashing end protests your pans finish.

Price

And it does not feel cheap but the price was right for the product.
