My 3 year old enjoys the toy we bought a two set. My 3-year-old is obsessed with pretend fishing and has spent endless hours using bits of string, shoelaces, etc. My grand daughter who is three just loves it.
The little inflatable "pond" is a nice touch and is a good way to keep the play contained. Lots of little sea creatures to catch. The screw on the ends work perfectly so they can "fish" for the toys in the tub.
Price is reasonable and competitive with most toy prices. No fault of the manufacturer.
The fishing pole retract and telescope out just like real ones!
Cons
The fishing poles are extremely flimsy and worthless to use with children. Will be paying extra & get the ones from lakeshore learning store since its for daycare use.

I remove one star due to the fact that the fishing rod broke on the very first day.
On the first day we played, one of the the fishing rods stopped working.

You cant beat the price to make a toddler happy
Affordable clean and amazing gift for my nephew who is in love with "water" animals as he calleds it.
But for the price i am not complaining.
For $10 to have as a back up for my almost 3yr old daughter if she breaks a pole is worth it.

I also discovered that the clicking noise is not necessary for it to function a small white plastic piece can be removed to stop sound while reeling
