Pros
I programmed the mirror to my rolling code garage door system before installing the mirror. The mirror comes with pretty good instructions. Has better range than opener remote.
Great seller communication and very fast shipping as well. Works great, a bit over-priced, but all dealers' stock items are.
Slide the new mirror in place and tighten the bolt. The bolt comes with the mirror. That is the only downside, the batteries are not replaceable.
Cons
Non-serviceable battery really makes it not worth the price. Once battery is dead it's no good anymore. Do not buy from this seller.

There are no electrical connections to be made, the mirror is battery operated.
The lower casing is reinstalled in an upward direction, and the upper cover is snapped into place.

Saved me a fortune from the egregious price the dealership wanted to charge for an “option” when i purchased the car.
Works great, a bit over-priced, but all "dealers' stock" items are.

It should have come with the xle package.
Competitiveness
This homelink mirror is a better mirror that the standard toyota mirror as well as the garage opener feature.
I’m sure it will have a significant battery life or else toyota would have provided a different option.

Some places online list this as autodimming which it is not just to clear that up theres a toggle at the bottom of the mirror
