Pros & Cons
Pros
This is insanely easy. Installed in the tacoma in literally 5 minutes. Works great on my 2010 standard shift corolla.
It works perfectly. Works great.
You also need a t30 torx screwdriver to unscrew the airbag. Put the new part in with the alignment peg in the proper hole, reconnect the wiring connector.
Highlights
Quality
Very easy to install and no other parts or programing was required to make cruise control work.
This is a relatively easy diy repair job with several good videos out there to assist.
The hardest part of the entire process was reprogramming my radio, since i had to take out the battery.
It took less than 20 minutes to replace, i disconnected the battery, just 4 screws and 1 plug.
Price
The dealer quoted me about $800 for them to install cruise control in my 2013 tacoma.
My original cruise control stick lasted 100k miles, so i felt the price for oem is valid.
Do not pay a dealer to replace.
I had to go to the dealership to purchase one, which was an additional $51.
Competitiveness
Don't better than poor chinese made products of this type.
