Pros

It functions flawlessly, and it simply works. Works great. Works like a charm.

The tp-link tl-sg1016 is a no-frills, no-fuss switch that delivers exceptional performance. It is unmanaged but i didn't need it to be. The 16 port is the right size for my small home network set up.

Cons

Limited lifetime warranty is 5 years not lifetime but only on their smb (small business) which this 24 port switch is. Performed flawlessly for 2 months. As mentioned by many reviews their warranty is useless so i guess it's time for a different brand... Read More

No special anything required and nothing to configure. Now it only works for a few seconds after i plug it in. All the lights blink like it is working but does not pass any traffic through ports.

So far great switch, easy to install and no drops in data

Easy to use with no fans quick setup

All ports tested working and i have had it installed for about 4 months and to this day not a single issue.

After several days my temps are only at 37c, actually lower than the optical sfp+ transceivers.

Price

The tplink jetstream tl-sx3008f met all these goals at a good price point ($230 in june 2023).

This switch does that a great price.

I purchased this because of the price point even though i was a little skeptical.

Excellent seller, quick shipping and as described!

Competitiveness

The cli takes a bit to get used to, but its very similar to cisco.

I have seen reviews and posts that say both rj45 works and rj45 doesn't work.

Also, the software this runs (as with the other tp-link devices) is gpl free open source software.

At work, we use more expensive domestic brands.
