Pros & Cons
Pros
The tl-sg1005d provides a max speed of 1000 mbps (125 megabytes per second) for internal lan transfers, so it moves my files at a quicker rate than my old switch did. Tp-link is my go-to brand nowadays because it is relatively inexpensive for advanced... Read More
Comes with rackmount brackets. Rubber feet for a desk/shelf setup. Two mounting holes at the bottom in case you plan to place it on a wall.
Easy peasy. Works perfectly, and stays cool. When a tool becomes invisible, you know it's doing a good job.
You can connect to the router from any of the five rj45 ports. This can be used to connect to a laptop, desktop computer, another wifi modem, an android box or a tv. You can also use it to switch off the wifi router between uses.
Cons
Tested with speedtest-cli and my speed dropped by about 40% when compared to being connected directly to my modem/router. I know that it's the problem because i got my hands on a really nice managed netgear gigabit switch and swapped them around.
The tp-link lifetime warranty is a joke. Service techs are told to keep the customer running around until they simply give up. Some tp link products have only limited 2 years warranty.
Highlights
Quality
It is very light and i have no issues with the switch getting hot.
Tp link has made quality devices for years and this is no exception.

Packaging/appearance
Plug and play right out of the box.
Competitiveness
Always had good luck with tp-link units.
Feel cooler when running compared to my old dlink switch.
