Pros

When considering the cost it becomes an outstanding value. The refurbished one is cheaper and works just as well as a new one.

With one login credential the router determines whether your device should be on 2. Running openwrt with ipsec, unbound dns, privoxy, and a variety of reporting tools. Works well with dd-wrt and a vpn.
