Recently upgraded to 'hyperoptic' fibre, and was only getting 20-30mbps with the supplied wifi router.
Price
This is router is a great piece of kit for the price (£85 at time of writing).
Competitiveness
Overall a great piece of kit at a very good price compared to other 1900ac routers.
I have always been a fan of tp-link and i have used their routers, switches and powerline adapters over the years with very much no issues.
**caution** the parental controls are not as good as previous tp-link routers.
Connected to tp-link router and straight away i got 217mb download speed from the same position with the same phone.

I also have an old laser printer that is now networked on the router usb and can also plug in a hard drive to the other usb something the virgin lacked

The tp link mobile app is good and also enables remote access anywhere to the settings if you so desire

Make sure you update the firmware first and the software will tell you there is an update as i made a few changes before updating and then it reset to defaults
