I failed to realise at that point that i needed to enter the passwords of my internet provider into the tplink software to cause this to happen

The router was cleverer that i expected and appeared able to talk to the internet provider on my behalf and establish the connection

The 5ghz range is not as powerful but covers most of the house

You can go into the settings and set up when to shut off the wifi great for stopping the kids staying up all night

Right after i recieved it i plugged everything in upgraded the firmware and the router already knew all the details for talktalk so setup was complete in literally minutes
