Pros

It reset and put me back at the local password login. Type it in.

Tp link makes great routers and wireless access points. The wifi signal is very strong and it covers my 3 br house better than previous wireless routers. The router is really fast for speed!

The tether smart phone app makes it easy to keep track of and execute firmware updates. I have 6 plus devices streaming at all times at my house and over 30 devices that use wifi.

Cons

Unless you have less than about 20 total wifi devices in your home then you have to buy a more expensive router such as the deco system. It is advertised as a gaming router but consistently drops the connection with the ps5.

Unplug, plug back in, rebooting and resetting did nothing. After a reboot everything is fine for about 12 hours, then you have to reboot it again. Even tried factory reset). It's had too many problems.

Connection always fails. Only ethernet, when internet in is not plugged in. If you close your web browser, it knocks the computer offline. Secound is for some reason in my world and a few others the qos limits the amount of bandwidth on your network.

Purchased this tp link: archer ax6000 back in 2020 during the r0na, to be able to work from home.

Price

This router was expensive back in 2020, it has paid for itself several times over!

By buying this router, i am saving $12 a month.

At that time was very good choice $169 .

Competitiveness

He ended up switching to astound broadband because comcast wasn’t helpful and troubleshooting this.

So many options to chose from without spending that amount for a better unit now.
