Highlights
Quality
The tp link is solid and the antennas feel sturdy with a firm connection.
Pro’s:- great for gaming and prioritising the load on those ps5 consoles with its ‘dual 5ghz’ bands!
I purchased this router as an emergency replacement for an ageing linksys ea9500 that is getting flaky.
The problems i have with it is says it has qos and configurable per device.
Price
This is a premium product at a premium price.
Anyway, it is quite a good product for the basic user, but it's a little higher priced than it's worth.
But like everything you get what you pay for.
Shipping
Delivery was also next day, which was a lovely surprise.
I paid for the installation service as it would have taken me a while to get virgin hub into modem set up etc.
I receive 200 meg speeds from virgin.
Packaging/appearance
- looks - it just feels high quality from the box, packaging and construction.
Set up was easy - open the box, download the app and follow the instructions.
It also looks like something from an alien ship if that kind of thing floats your boat.
Competitiveness
The build quality on this is superior to netgear with regards to the plastics used.
For the price and compared to the netgear nighthawk and asus, i would buy again and it's certainly a good upgrade from my synology 2600.
I have now just purchased the re505ax to extend to a difficult to reach part of the house as both support tplink's onemesh system.
Both the nighthawks kept dropping wifi daily.
