Pros & Cons
Pros
The deco app is kind of simplistic, but after a while i appreciated the simplicity. Tp-link seems to have a very user friendly interface in general. The phone app shows me what is connected to which unit and sends weekly reports of activity and if the... Read More
Cons
Oh and here's the kicker. This mesh is horrible. Just a completely unusable product. Very frustrating to say the least.
The settings of the router are only controlled by the mobile app. There is a web interface for a browser, but most settings can't be changed with a browser. It has almost no customization. The app and web interface are horrible.
Dropped to my 5g from 160 mhz to 80mhz, turned off fast roaming and beam forming. But after rejoining my network, signal almost immediately cuts out again. Secondary (repeater) unit keeps disconnecting, was only about 20 feet from the main unit.

The tp-link deco xe75 is easy to install and performs exceedingly well.

It was better priced than the eero and was easy to setup and use.
Compare and contrast with the asus mesh i tried and despite being technically competent was never able to make work.
Maybe other mesh systems do it better but i am here to say that the mesh system is in fact the holyfield of dead wi-fi spot solutions.
