Pros

Three of these pods have been installed in a 3-bed 60s semi. No wifi issues since installing three of them. Easy to set-up, after a bit of faffing with plug in cables. System decides which pod to connect to for best speed.

Price


Great product for the price and simple to setup.


Only negative for me is the extra cost for security/family features.


It’s certainly not that cheap but if it means that my household as smoother wifi connections i’m happy to pay the extra.

Packaging/appearance


I have a very old thick walled house on one level and the three pack gets the signal to both ends no problemo!

Competitiveness


The app is good and user friendly, and although i’ve not tried any of the competition, i feel i can still recommend.


5gbe and then off to 3 other 1gbe switches with a total of 30 devices.


Ok so have community wireless who provide an (expensive linksys) box that looks very similar.


The only thing i prefer about the linksys is the app to check/control it was a bit better than the tp-link.

    My tip for people with standard home broadband is to configure router in bridge mode before plugging in the deckos

    If you are having issues i can more or less garuntee there will be 2 or 3 updates needed

    Oh yes they dont even do them all at once there seems be different updates for the main one and the satellite units so you have to do separate ones

    After installing over 200 decos s and m series i have a pretty good idea as to what to expect these ones seem to have very poor range for a house that i would typically use 34 decos in i have had to put in 5 and still have weak signal

    All the firmware is up to date and they are away from inteferance
