Pros & Cons
Pros
Only drawback to my older v1 model is that i think they stopped issuing upgraded firmware for it. Easy firmware updates.
Primary dns 10. Is positioned near the ceiling of the basement in the center of the house. It gets assimilated right into the sdn networking setup. The device automatically uses pings to the configured dns servers to determine each link status.
Gateway 10 is an awesome router, especially for its price. This router is feature rich. Poe+ switch, controller and the ap. It’s easy to manage, and i have two access points (aps) along with this router.
The tp-link festa fr205 is a solid router. It impresses with its ease of installation and overall performance. It works well with t-mobile's mesh router.
Cons
A lifetime warranty with no one to honor it is no warranty at all. Tplink support responds with generic answers and if all else fails their answer is to factory reset and start over. Er605 v1 owners have an issue where the web interface does not load ... Read More
The early versions of their products are not ready for primetime. Will be switching to an alternative, like ubiquity.
I am not willing to make assumptions and bury my head in the sand saying what's the chance this will ever happen - because in today's world, it will! At this level it's not worth my time.
The term port forwarding is not even in the documentation, being'replaced' with vernacular that they claim was'more advanced' it fails to properly port forward, and their solution to the port being hard coded was to implement a terrible mirroring feat... Read More
Latency is terrible, turning 14ms pings into 44-540ms on average. It regularly freezes, hiccups and otherwise requires reboots in the middle of the day. Fail-over feature is a joke; spotty at best with large lag times. Frist off, dhcp is garbage on th... Read More

Imo it's not entirely clear from the marketing material, this device must be configured and managed using tp link's controller interface.
With a cramped and unfinished dirt crawl space in the basement it is a disagreeable chore to run the cables.
Price
Very please and for only $60 it is a winner.
This is an amazing device for the price.
This router would be a bargain at twice the price.
For less than $60, it's very hard to quibble the excellent price/performance of this wired only gigabit router.
Shipping
Purchased er605 from amazon, was delivered same day ;) thanksthe user interface (web base) is easy to use.

Upon further research, i'm confident that no other router offers similar performance.
I tried another brand that i couldn't even get all the ports working on.
Linksys claimed the lrt224 had gigabit ports but didnt perform as such.
