Turns out, the fibre itself is stupid cheap these days.
Bought a pair but didn't need two as the first one connected up to 3rd party switch immediately on connection.

The price for this device is definitely competitive.
Actually do to warrant the cost - i can only postulate it's a reliability issue.
Doesn't feel cheap but doesn't come at an expensive price.

It doesnt come with the sfp transceiver required for this so youll need to get your own this is the full duplex model but yeah it works great

By itself isnt a problem until that realisation that high power appliances such as an oven or an electric hob may pose some challenges to the feeble ethernet thats prone to inductive currents
