It has never failed on me ever and it took me less than 2 minutes to physically install the adapter and install the software on my pc.
While the download speeds are very high, my connection constantly drops, which is why i switch to ethernet while gaming.

Great price and inexpensive part wireless connectivity for desktop computers.
I also got it for $21 used, so i think that's a great deal.
I pay for 50mbps bandwidth, and i get exactly that.
If someone is building a pc, this is a great budget pc wifi adapter for someone that wants a guaranteed connection to wifi.
Packaging/appearance
This card is tp-link's packaging of the atheros ar938x chipset, which is why you can use those drivers.
I noticed in 'status' for the connection that the card would not receive any packets, it seemed that the router dropped every single one.
The card was detected and as was described on the site, windows 8.
It also came with a small-form-factor bracket, in the case that you're installing it into a smaller case.
Competitiveness
Of course it can't compare to ethernet, and i would use that if i could, but alas my pc is too far away from the router.
