Pros

The web interface is fairly intuitive for basic initial setup. There are a huge number of configuration and functionality options available on the web interface. After that everything just works and the remaining set up easy and intuitive.

Still waiting for my second adsl line to be installed but really impressed with it so far. Great for anyone who has upto 100mb internet access or has 2 different or same but 2 lines with slower speeds than this can have upto 4 ip from pervider broadba...  Read More

Quality

This was brilliant, and the customer service combined with the product make this a top quality unit.

The er-7206 is currently a new product line, which is compatible with the tp-link omada controller.

Repeatedly performing speed-tests with the option ticked and unticked resulted in download speeds of 15-20mb/s and 30-40mb/s re...  Read More

I am informed by tp-link that it will be fixed in a november release, so be very careful until then.

No instructions on how to set it up from either the manufacturer or on the interweb.

Competitiveness

The unit i received had version v1

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Setup from this point forward was quite simple until you want to do something slightly more interesting

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Firstly configuring the dhcp server is quite painful in particular making static reservations which in a small network is not uncommon

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

There is currently no way within the controller ui to add a reservation for a mac address that has not been seen by the device

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

This makes it quite painful to setup you cannot easily force a dhcp request to log the mac on a statically assigned ip server without logging onto the box

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Secondly setting up policy based routing just doesnt seem to work from the controller ui troubleshooting or debugging the rules seems difficult

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Thirdly the controller ui contains a speed test which allows you to measure the performance of wan links to suitably load balance them this feature just does not work
