Pros

This thing screams. Been using this cable modem for over two years continuously with zero issues. Purchased as an alternative to xfinity’s leased gateway, no regrets at all.

Link the extenders to modem router using a power outlet within 10 feet. Press the wps button (top button back) on modem router, then wps on extender. The signal for the wifi is great and i couldnt be happier with my purchase.

Cons

The tc7650 is terrible definitely stay away. It struggles to form a stable/consistency down stream bonding channels with comcast. Does not support optimum ( former cablevision ) that promises me 10 years to bring fios to my area. Chewed out comcast ec... Read More

If you dont get the emails to email them to resend the emails. The product seems had been used before. I was charged about 30% re-stocking fee. I love how they lump all their product reviews on the same page.

Quality

There is nothing i dislike about this product.

I paired with the tp link ac1900 router and i get better coverage and double the connection speed i had with the comcast gateway.

I just don't like the fact that it ships as is and there won't be any software or security updates to the product.

With the guest wifi no one is sucking up the wifi.

Price

I was nervous based on other reviews but figured for the cost, i wouldn't find anything that came close.

Twice as fast as the comcast modem.

I looked for troubleshooting instructions on the tp-link site from my phone.

Since tp-link was widely used in europe, even in small countries, i tried it.

Competitiveness

It's three months later and the thing has been working like a champ!

I would definitely replace it with another tp-link if it needed replacement, but it doesn't!

No wifi routing but i knew that when buying as i had already bought a velop mesh system.

Downloads hit close to 300mbps in testing.
