Lifesaver product, i highly recommend using this if you have no way of running a wired connection across your house.
Bought this to go with the others, as i have several places i wanted to extend wired connectivity.
Just remember you need two, one for the room with the router and one for the room with the intended connection.

I figured it would work, just not quite as fast as the wireless.
My wireless-n signal is great, and i thought it was very fast.
Competitiveness
I have it coupled with two older trendnet powerline adapters and i haven't had to reset a single one.
This powerline adapter saved me from running cat6 cabling in a finished house.

We had the 200mbps version previously and that worked great but one of the units died after about 14 months

I had the panasonic blpa100kta powerline adapters which worked well enough for simple data transferring and extending internet access to the basement or other rooms in the house but xbox and media streaming continually buffered

I tried the tplink 500mbps adapters and the buffering went away

I get orange and red throughput leds lighting up on 2 of the 3 adapters but im still getting solidenough data streaming

Try not to obstruct the device and allow it to dissipate heat

Speed tests consistently show about 45mbps for transfers on the lan while wifi n would give me about 20
