Pros & Cons
Pros
Good build quality and no-hassle functionality. Nice to have a poe switch capable of automating that. Simple industrial design that doesn't allow dust to cling.
The tp-link tl-sg1005p-pd is a solid choice that delivers power, performance, and peace of mind. Whether you're an expert in networking or looking to upgrade your home or office network, this is the switch for you.
The poe switch is plug and play easy to use. If it detects that a poe device has gone down, it will reboot the switch which is a very nice feature to have if you have the device somewhere that is in a remote area. The switch has an extend mode if you ... Read More
The switch's shielded ports enhance durability and signal integrity. Shielding allows the signal to travel at greater distances. It also helps to ensure that the power is full transmitted to the endpoint.
Fanless and unmanaged operation make the unit very easy to deploy. In these units, the fan is the weakest point, and since it does not have or need on, i expect this unit to run for many years.
Cons
All with a limited lifetime warranty - sort of. If i'm not mistaken, that means getting them to honor their warranty will cost me 1. Their warranty is a joke. My device lasted 9 months before getting “stuck on *’.

Highlights
Quality
Very happy wit these and the all metal build quality if high end.
• durable build: despite its small size, the build quality feels robust and reliable.
Connected the equipment, fired it up and and it started right up.
Here’s why this little device stands out:setup and design • plug and play: this switch requires zero configuration.
Price
This is a great little switch for the price.
Had 7 emergency land lines costing me $320/month each; converted my emergency devices (elevator phone, pool emergency phones, a... Read More
50/month per line instead of $320/line with at&t.
This switch might be the best bang for the buck for its price.
Shipping
Love amazon’s same day service, saved my life!
Competitiveness
I replaced a really expensive ubiquiti switch with this and it was a life saver.
I would have gone with an 'indoor' version of this if i could find one with the same capabilities for around the same price.
Instead of trying to find a cheap usb print server,i opted for a switch that would handle 10/100/1000.
