Integration With Omada System
Customers have generally positive opinions about the integration of TP-Link's Jetstream 8 Port Gigabit Smart Managed PoE Switch with the Omada system, praising its ease of setup and management within the ecosystem. However, a small number of users encountered issues with adoption by the Omada controller and required factory resets to resolve them.
Ports Availability
Customers have mixed opinions about the number of available ports on the TP-Link TL-SG2008 switch, with some expressing satisfaction while others wishing for more. While most users appreciate its ability to deliver high speeds to each port and manage VLANs, a few find it inadequate for their needs due to its limited capacity to handle devices. Some customers were misled by the product description regarding PoE capabilities.
Highlights
Quality
This series of switch equipment supports 10g uplinks and installs easily and quickly
Worked great for my network needs, nice interface, remote access to manage and view whats going on, really good so far.
It needs dhcp on the vlan to properly adopt; afterwards, you can assign a static address and disable dhcp.
I first bought a tl-sg2428p, not realising how crazy loud & annoying the fans were.
Price
A brand i trust, at a great price.
I only wish i had got the 16 or 24 port for the price difference.
Shipping
Ordered 2, and received one v1 and one v2.
Competitiveness
I think it's good value too, compared to the other options i've been able to find.
So far, i am really happy that i chose omada over unifi - easier implementation and great online support.
Got this switch to work with tp-link's oc200, er7206 and aps through tp's omada cloud based network management.
The web gui is similar to other contemporary tp-link switches & routers.
