The tl-link tl-wa901nd ap totally meets my expectations. Firmwares on fire-wrt forums and elsewhere compatible with this version of the wa901nd device. Initial impression is outstanding performance!

It feels like there is some buffering in the unit as printer is much much faster than before. At least on my hp 6700 (terrible printer avoid hp) it works.

Cons

This one consistently locks out it's wifi after a certain number of hours of use requiring a cold reboot to recover. Might work as access point, but don't buy this for the bridge or repeater mode.

The more load you put on the device, the faster it degenerates. On top of that the device is rated with 802. Ghz handicapping the speed of a single device. This one needs to be put out to pasture.
