Bought these to extend the wifi in the dead areas of my house plus needed the ethernet ports to also connect a tv box up rather than use the wifi for the tv box

Extremely easy to set up have been using for about a year now and have changed routers in that time just as easy second time around full signal wifi all over house right out the box

The powerline does work on different rings

Wifi pairing is awkward it works but the powerline ap has to be very near the gateway ap in order to clone the wifi network

They were straight forward to set up but occasionally lose sync with the base unit between 46 months so not a major issue

This isnt an issue with the powerline ap but might be worth considering a mesh network setup if youre planning on moving around without having to manage your connection as this is not a true distributed wifi solution
