Pros
This is the best router i've ever owned. I have a printer and 2 security cameras connected to it directly. Assigned it a separate ssid for guest and occasionally tablet using wifi in the other end of the house.
Dd-wrt is an open source program that can be installed in 75% of routers. Able to run as a regular router or bridge or repeater. Has 4m flash and 32m ram.
Cons
There is something specific about this router that interferes with that setup. Do not get this router. Just go spend a little more and get a linksys or netgear router.
It works sometimes, and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it works after reboot the pc, but sometimes not. Tp-link website is blocked here in kuwait and cannot install. Ps - not 24hr tech support like box says.
Really a big dissapointment. This has been really disappointing. Just unusable junk.

Seemed like it would be a solid signal for my house size and the price and speed were spot on.

Packaging/appearance
I upgraded the firmware from the tp-link site without any problem.
Competitiveness
I have a small/medium sized home and was using a 150mpbs dlink router for the past 6 years.
Great router, modified it with dd-wrt and it really works more effecient than stock
Now the cons:the software would not allow me to get beyond the network status check-which failed.
