It also appears after only one days use that router stability isnt going to require the near daily dreaded reset operation

I unplugged and restarted everything and thought that might have solved it the router said it was successfully configured but there was no internet

It wasnt until after calling tech support and later reading in the troubleshooting that if you have cable internet you need to configure the router via the web management page

Since so many people have cable internet youd think they could integrate this into the setup wizard
