The book is undeniably helpful and a must read. Good book to consult now and then.

Van tharp has a strong psychological and coaching background. He is extremely tolerant in values, methods and schemes. Tharp lays out a number of questions that you, as a stock market trader should ask yourself.

Position sizing is the most powerful thing in the markets. Teaches many lessons about system development, expectancy, position sizing, and risk management. Mark tier's book is an introductory in my opinion.

    The cons would be it is a little like a text book and you dont get the opportunity to delve deeper into a particular strategy like trend following but i dont think that was the authors intent

    It helps to prevent mistakes made by both novice and experienced traders and if you still make the mistakes at least you will be aware of what happened and able to prevent bashing your head against the same wall and loosing money in the process
