Pros

The handles stay cool to the touch on the stovetop! Heat distribution is wonderful and searing meats is just as good as using cast iron. Soak the pan first.

Price is outstanding and i think perfectly fair, but i am just picky about the lids. They are heavy duty, tri clad, and easy to clean since they are stainless steel. Tramontina has a great warranty and customer service.

Cons

After a couple weeks of use the frying pan handle is loose. They are not easy to clean lost luster on one lid before i used it.

Update: the design of these pans outweigh the sidewall issue so i revised my review and gave the gourmet prima 4 stars instead of 2 stars.

Very disappointed that tramontina manufacturers cookware that has sidewalls that are only 1/16" thick.

Price

This year we decided to spend the money and get this set and throw away our cheap pots and pans , and so happy we did.

It was not a big deal to me in shopping but i have to say i love the clean, sharp look of the shiny stainless steel.

Price is outstanding and i think perfectly fair, but i am just picky about the lids.

Good luck finding anything better in this price range.

One lid arrived with a rattle in the handle (no reason i couldn't use it, i just didn't like the rattle).
