Pros & Cons
Pros
The large covered sauté pan is my favorite. It has a small footprint, and is a great weight. I like wider, shallower dutch ovens and that's what this is. Very durable and heats evenly.
The pictures are actually very misleading in this regard, but it does work well. Impressed with the quality and durability.
Cons
Some of these take 15 minutes of elbow grease each. The pan literally burned on me cooking eggs.
Tramontina's dutch oven is defective. It cooks super slow because apparently it doesn't do well with anything higher than medium heat on the stove top. The inside bottom is badly scratched and it even had some type of food or pasta still stuck to it.
Highlights
Quality
These are well built, and should last a life time and beyond.
This tromontina skillet works beautifully, heats evenly and cleans easily.
After all, whatever is below the steel surface, it may be seeping into the food we cook, and i don't know what that metal content is.
In both orders, the quality of the skillets was terrible and was truly surprised they left the factory with so many defects.
Price

It performs similar to higher cost name brand, but at a value price.
I did a lot of comparison shopping, and tramontana was neck-and-neck with all-clad for a fraction of the price.

I took the chance that this tramontina 3 qt saucepan would still fit my old tramontina steamer insert and was most surprised to find that this new saucepan does fit the old steamer and the pans cover also fits the steamer pictures herewith

I noticed that after stirring food in this new stainless steel pan using a metal or stainless steel utensil i scratched the pan and thought of the fact that just as a metal utensil scratches a nonstick or coated pan it also scratches a steel pan
