Pros & Cons
Pros
The pots and pans are thick and solidly constructed. When simmering food visibility in the pot is much improved. The pot is versatile in that you can make popcorn or a stew if needed.
Cons
What a bunch of no-integrity goons. It has a strong metallic smell and greyish residue, which can not be clean off. The interior surface of the pot is horrible.
Highlights
Quality
Great quality medium-large pot with two steamer inserts, better quality than others currently offered (even by william sonoma).
Great quality, maintains the heat, easy to clean.
I unpacked it to see what the quality looks like.
Nearly went with the 18qt cuisinart from costco but it had a 9” dia cooking surface.
Price
This is a great pot for the price.
I'm sure there are better pots that cost more, and crummier pots that cost less.
Competitiveness
Very sturdy and should last a long time just like all the other tramontina cookware that i have tried in the past.
I have a set of tramontina pans and when i saw the stock pot i was eager to add it to my set.
Hard to tell the difference in performance from my smaller all-clad.
I have some tramontina products and based on their quality i bought this 12 qt stock pot.
