I have been wanting to buy a step can for a long timei had a motion sensor one but for some reason i was the only one it would open for and it would open every time i entered the room whether i was trying to throw something away or not

Also i got so used to tossing trash from across the room into the open can it is a huge adjustment to have to walk across the room and step on the lever to throw small things away

Weve had the automatic opening lids but theyve been unreliable especially as the batteries lose power which is not at all convenient when youve got your hands full of garbage and the lid wont open
