Pros & Cons
Pros
I let the dough rise in a large glass bowl with parchment paper under it. When it is time to put the dough in the oven, i just lift the risen dough with the parchment paper and place it in the heated dutch oven and put the lid on.
Cons
Since i have a glass cooktop stove, i am afraid the scratch will scrape it. Picture shows lib with silver knob, receive with a black knob. For me, this casserole goes to the garbage.
Highlights
Quality
Nice finish, easy to clean, and spectacularly fast on an induction cooktop.
It is sturdy and good quality, just as expected.
(which as some know is what you do to make artisan bread) i don't heat mine to 500 degrees---this one is rated 450 degrees max on this pan.
04/09/2022 update: after just a couple months of use i actually got a chip in the top even after babying this pot, what!
Price
Having “drooled” over a le crueset, the tramontina is a fraction of the cost and from my perspective equal quality.
Decent price compared to the french pots.
Shipping
The company responded instantly and customer service was excellent.
Competitiveness
I have a larger lecreuset and like it as much if not better.
