Pros

Wife loves how it spreads the heat when cooking. Heavy lid is also a plus as it makes the skillet a great baking pan.

It appears to be very sturdy and the exterior coating makes it easier to clean. It is very heavy but manageable. Multipurpose, sturdy and very nice looking.

Cast iron is the perfect way to make a good and well browned cornbread. While it doesn't rise to the level of staub or le creuset, it is very close.

Cons

Even after seasoning and using oil z food always sticks. The enamel is absolutely the worst! There is practically no enamel left in the bottom center, even though we never used metal in the pan and gently washes it by hand. Does not function like cera... Read More

I ruined my other enameled cast iron skillet by forgetting to shut off the gas and it damaged the coatinging.

It's heavy and may not be a good choice for the elderly.
