Pros & Cons
Pros
Tramontina prima pans are terrific values and designs, and they show very high production quality and finishing. The only complaint i have is it discolored already, even without using any abrasives for cleaning. One has to wash the pan several times t... Read More
Tramontina makes excellent pots and pans. My culinary experience spans almost 40 years. I like using cookware that's low maintenance. Stainless steel cookware is the best.
Cons
The cover is flimsy and the weight is light. The 3 quart size is mediocre.
The vendor has 48 hours to decide whether i can return it or not! Ordered on january 3, 2016 item(s) $65. Spend more or spend less but don't buy this pos.
To our chagrin, although the pan looks nice, it is really sticky. The surface of the pan collects material no matter what i cook. None of the many stainless steel pans i've ever used has a dull finish on the inside.
Please note, nowhere in the packaging or how-to-use (very short) instructional, indicates this is a non-stick pan. Do not buy this pan, skip it.
Highlights
Quality
The pan is well constructed and heats evenly.
Well made, heats evenly and cleans up easily!
Treat it like any good stainless cookware and it shoudl last forever.
I hand washed and ran the pan through my dishwasher several times to remove the fine powdered metal and pumice.
Price
This has more value than its price.
The price cant be beat and i would highly recommend!
Don't be fooled by the low price (currently an amazing seventy dollars).

Shipping
Thanks to wirecutter for the recommendation and amazon for shipping it fast, and economically.
Packaging/appearance
The solid packaging (heavy two-ply corrugated cardboard) lets you know this company cares about its product.
Competitiveness
So it probably won't hold heat as evenly as its non-lipped counterparts.
Now buy this line instead of le creuset.
I looked at reviews on cooks illustrated and while this brand was well-rated i worried because it's a lot less expensive than o... Read More
On ebay, you see this going for around the same price as this tramontina (made in china or brazil).
