Pros & Cons
Pros
My condor is lightsaber sharp and passes the arm hair shave test. The blade is a little springy but i like that too. Easy to sharpen/holds an edge.
The tramontina machete is light and flexible. No frills or silly rambo features. It cuts through brush without stooping to reach the base of plants.
The handle is molded plastic with a bit of texturing on it. It functions well for all but the largest hands. The only gripe is the flat cut off at the end of the handle. Without gloves hitting something serious is felt in your hand.
It takes down full-grown thistles and burdocks in a single swipe. Used extensively chopping coconuts and trimming florida type foliage.
Cons
The blade has a huge warp and it's beyond flimsy. Looks like they sharpen it with the same machine they use to sharpen the 18inch model. Not for cutting texas mesquite branches.

At least i know the blade is pretty springy and durable after bending the blade fairly extremely in my attempts to straighten it.
Price
A classic working machete at a bargain price.
I took a chance on this because of price and really didn’t expect a whole lot, but it has absolutely made a believer out of me.
It’s not to expensive and it doesn’t need to be.
Needs to be sharpened often, but what do you expect for $20 bucks.
Shipping
It arrives shar and ready to go.
Packaging/appearance
5 because it doesn’t come with a cover.
Competitiveness
Somewhat better than a sharp angle bend, but it wouldn't bend back straight after considerable effort bending the opposite dire... Read More
I bought it in 22" as well and prefer the 18" length blade.
