As mechanical hard drives age they are notorious for failure

I wouldnt put this drive up against top performers in its class and expect it to compete but thats not the target market for this model

Compared to other ssds from companies like samsung that carry 5 or even 10 years warranty this seems short but in this day and time youre lucky to even get 3 years on a mechanical hard drive which is much more likely to fail
