Pros
This is a very large toy, big enough to stand comfortably with masterpiece figures. He mixes well with smaller figures as well, since the character has often been portrayed as being very large.
I hear complaints that it's not the same jetfire. This one actually feels meaty like the g1s of old did. My only complaint is that it doesn't have quite the same gerwalk mode. Nonetheless, this new leader class version of jetfire is awesome.
Both modes are good, but the robot mode, in particular is spectacular. Coolest features are the removable mask and the semi-customizable weaponry.
Great remake of a classic transformer toy. It hits home for both macross and transformer fan bases. Also includes optimus prime.

3 cons:for the price, i wish it had some metal parts.
Packaging/appearance
Not only did it reach before the seller indicated but i was impressed by the packaging.
For those he didn't play with transformers as a kid, this one was originally a cross over from the macross/robotech.
Since i havent opened it all i can go by is the packaging.
Competitiveness
This was purchased as a gift for a first-time collector.
Exactly as described and exceeded expectations !
But in return you do have a more posable robot these days.

There are many things to like about it but two things in particular irk me

First his chest locks into place in jet mode too easily and is difficult to unlock

It takes much wiggling and i am afraid to wiggle too much for fear of breaking the plastic

Even worse the ease with which it locks into place can also frustrate transformation into jet mode because its easy to lock it into a misaligned position which you are forced to live with if you dont wish to go through having to unlock it to align it correctly
