Wingfinger is the 3rd fossilizer of kingdom which means that besides going from pteranodon skeleton to robot and back it can be repurposed into weapons for other figures of the line to wield

Yes you can make your own from multiples of the previous two but the actual designer intended robot needs all three fossilizers to make it work

While this one breaks down into a bunch of parts much as they do the other two basically have everything come apart and it feels unnecessary

Nothing ridiculous in the breakdown the combiner head is hidden in the beak and the transformation is only a few steps in any direction
